As a child, my Grandfather gave me a subscription to National Geographic Magazine.  I remember reading the articles and viewing the photos and being both inspired and fascinated by the idea of far off places.  I’ve always loved geography, people, places and experiencing new cultures.  My name is Chris Schoenbohm.  I am 29 years old and I recently decided to travel the world in hopes of seeing these places with my own eyes and sharing them with those who interested in what the world has to offer.  LostManProject.com is my journal and photo diary.  I hope you enjoy.

Photography

I was fortunate to have discovered photography early on in my travels. It was in Thailand that a photographer was nice enough to let me borrow his digital SLR (relatively new at the time) and wander around the back alleyways taking photos of the street life in Bangkok. I instantly fell in love with photography as it became a natural extension of my curiosity towards people, places and cultures. For me, photography has become the perfect medium. It allows me to recreate place and time not only visually but also by adding a dimension of emotions and feelings I experience at that place in time.

Who Am I?

My name is Chris Schoenbohm and I’m 29 years old. My travels have taken me to such places as China, North Korea, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, India, Egypt, Iceland, Russia, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, all over the Caribbean and most everywhere in Europe. I’ve recently returned from a 9 month around-the-world trip and I’m already beginning to plan my next trip to a far off place.

When I’m not traveling I reside in New York City.
