‘Marching Clouds’, Italy, Umbria, Castelluccio, Piano Grande Pass

Probably one of the most peaceful and serene places I’ve ever been in my life.  The clouds march over this large pass and cast dramatic shadows on the golden fields.  I could have stayed here forever.  Piano Grande Pass is located next to the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini or Monti Sibillini National Park.  The town of Castelluccio lies off in the distance.  It is the highest settlement in the Apennines Mountains and sits above the ‘Great Field’, pictured above.
