When the sun starts setting on a New York summer night, a golden sensation takes over the city. It’s a unique time of the day. People are relaxing after a hard days work – some hustling home and some taking their time to relax in the park. A camera doesn’t often capture the sunset correctly. It almost always requires Photoshop. I recommend adding some softness to a direct sun shot. You can do this with an overlay or increasing the offset on an exposure adjustment layer. It also gives the photo a nostalgic summer evening feel.
